Restaurants Within Walking Distance of Resorts and Condos on Treasure Island

The great thing about vacationing on Treasure Island, Florida is that while it’s away from lots of crowds and noise, it’s still within walking distance of just about everything, particularly some great restaurants! Here’s a list of some favorites, frequented by both vacationers and locals.

Woody’s Waterfront Cafe – Right across the waterway from Sunset Beach and Treasure Island, Woody’s offers a spectacular view of Blind Pass, where the intercoastal meets the the Gulf. They offer some delicious burgers, seafood like mahi mahi and coconut shrimp, a slew of delicious appetizers, and of course, drinks! They also offer some great live entertainment Wednesday through Sunday night.

Sloppy Pelican Bar and Grill – Adjacent to Woody’s and directly across the Blind Pass Channel and nearby condos, Sloppy Pelican is another great place for live entertainment, attracting crowds young and old. They offer “all you can eat snow crab” and “all you can eat crab legs,” Monday nights from 5-10 pm along with a new raw bar featuring oysters, clams, and fish spread. They also now offer breakfast on Sundays from 9 – 1 pm.

Gigi’s Italian Restaurant – Family-owned and operated, Gigi’s has been voted “Best of the Beaches” for Italian Restaurants 12 years in a row! Great for dates or for the whole family. It’s a smaller, more intimate setting, but there’s still plenty of room for everyone. Opt for traditional Italian meals like chicken parmesean, spaghetti and meatballs, or have a pizza – their light rust is extra crispy and so fresh! Their Special Hot Garlic Bread and Cheese with Gigi’s Sauce out-of-this-world good!

Middle Grounds Grill – Right across the street from most of the Treasure Island Resorts is this upscale seafood restaurant that offers some of the best seafood the Bay area has to offer. Try the Coconunt Almond Shrimp or the Caribbean Grilled Tuna Steak with Berry Inferno Sauce, or my personal favorite, the Mango Nut Grouper served with Coconut Basmati Rice. Finish off your meal with the Key Lime Dagwood Tower, Robby’s Famous Pancake Berry Stack (a tribute to the old local-favorite Treasure Island pancake house), or Guava Mousse and Mango Cheesecake!

Ocean Breeze Waterfront Tapas Grill – Right over the Blind Pass Bridge that connects Treasure Island to St. Pete Beach, this is an easy walk from Caddy’s and Sunset Beach, and a short drive from nearby St. Pete Beach Condos. Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach’s newest restaurant offers an upscale dining experience at an affordable price, featuring both lunch and dinner. Go for the Strawberry Guava BBQ Chicken with Balsamic Reduction, the Ocean Breeze Fillet, or the Fresh Catch of the Day, which is always guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser. For desserts, try the Banana Rum Cheesecake! Be sure to check out their Sunday Brunch from 10 am to 1 pm for their Florida, fresh-squeezed Mimosa.

PGA National Resort and Spa Homes – Always Premium

PGA National is the de facto winner in the category of country club and golf resort real estate. This community is world famous and has both the brand, service and reputation to back up the claim.

The homes in this community are at the heart of Palm Beach Gardens and provide every amenity and convenience of a five star resort. Every component of this community from the tennis and racquet club, to the spa, to the pristine championship golf are all integrated in a central complex of luxury and service. Buttressed on either side by the Ironwood Grill and Shula’s Steak House, there is never a lack of fine dining in and around the resort.

Minutes from the airport and the Atlantic ocean, opportunity for activity from the relaxing to the adventurous abound. Choose from five golf courses, or spend the day being pampered at the full service spa. 32,500 square feet of facilities for the Health and Racquet Club along with Har-Tru tennis courts guarantee ample space to work out or work on your game.

PGA National’s brand makes the community recognizable world wide, but the homes are perhaps a lesser known aspect of this Palm Beach Gardens attraction. Pristine estates, homes, townhomes and even upscale condos provide excellence in custom design and a wide range of prices from the exclusive to entry level homes that all enjoy the lifestyle and ambiance of the vacation style living that is a part of everyone’s experience at PGA National Homes.

Views vary from golf course greens to waterway views and natural preserves. Privacy is assured with 24 hour Wackenhut staffed security.
